Rubber track sizes are commonly identified using three measurements: width, pitch and number of links.

• Width — the overall width of the rubber track.
• Pitch — the distance between corresponding drive lugs around the inside of the track.
• Links — the total number of drive lugs or links around the inside circumference of the track.

For example, a track marked 300x52.5x80 is identified by its width, pitch and link count.

Track dimensions are useful, but the equipment make and model should also be provided whenever possible. A machine may have more than one possible track configuration.

Rubber tracks should be inspected regularly, particularly when equipment is working on rough or abrasive surfaces. Replacement may be appropriate when significant wear or damage is present.

• Damaged or missing tread blocks
• Excessive track stretching
• Frequent derailment or track de-tracking
• Visible deterioration that affects machine operation

The condition of the equipment undercarriage can affect rubber track performance and service life. Worn sprockets, rollers, idlers and other drive components may contribute to premature track wear or operating problems.

Some machines also use track pad systems or other undercarriage components. When requesting information, provide your machine model and current track specifications so available components and options can be checked.
